Biography

Wes Helms (Wesley Ray Helms) was born on May 12, 1976 in Gastonia, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on September 5, 1998 for the Atlanta Braves. In 2001, his rookie year, he hit .222 with 10 home runs and 36 RBI. Helms played for the Atlanta Braves, Milwaukee Brewers and Florida Marlins over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Wes Helms's best season was 2003, when he slugged 23 home runs and knocked in 67 runs.
