The Minnesota Vikings signed an offer sheet with Steve Hutchinson worth at least $16 million in guaranteed money. The contract could possibly be worth about $49 million, which would make it the richest contract with a guard in the history of the NFL. Since the Seattle Seahawks placed a transition tag on Hutchinson, they have one week to match the offer or lose him to Minnesota; Seattle is expected to let the clock run out. This is Minnesota's latest signing in a streak of FA deals which also includes Chester Taylor, Ryan Longwell, and Ben Leber.
