Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams said yesterday that he wants to use the Titans' #3 draft pick on the replacement for expensive starter Steve McNair. McNair will cost $23.46 million against Tennessee's salary cap in 2006. As of recently, McNair has refused to negotiate a restructured contract, nor is he interested in being a mentor to a rookie quarterback.
"We ought to get a pretty good quarterback out of this draft...Drafting No. 3, we ought to get a pretty good quarterback in that spot right there. I hope we get a guy who can be our leader for about 10 years. It's time for that, I think."~Bud Adams, Titans owner
