Biography

Born on December 26, 1927 in Northampton, Massachusetts, Stu Miller (Stuart Leonard Miller) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Giants, San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 16 year career. Miller broke into the bigs on August 12, 1952 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 2.05 ERA in 88 innings pitched in 1952, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Stu Miller's best season was 1965, when he posted a 1.89 ERA, won 14 games, notched 24 saves and struck out 104 batters.
