Biography

Shawn Abner (Shawn Wesley Abner) was born on June 17, 1966 in Hamilton, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 8, 1987 for the San Diego Padres. In 1990, his rookie year, he hit .245 with 1 home run and 15 RBI. Abner played for the San Diego Padres, California Angels and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Shawn Abner's best season was 1992, when he hit for a .279 average.
