Biography

Born on December 13, 1937 in Toronto, Ontario (Canada), Ron Taylor (Ronald Wesley Taylor) played for the Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, New York Mets and San Diego Padres over the course of his 11 year career. Taylor broke into the bigs on April 11, 1962 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 2.84 ERA in 133.1 innings pitched in 1963, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ron Taylor's best season was 1963, when he posted a 2.84 ERA, notched 11 saves and struck out 91 batters.
