Biography

Ron Santo (Ronald Edward Santo) was born on February 25, 1940 in Seattle, Washington. He made his Major League debut on June 26, 1960 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1960, his rookie year, he hit .251 with 9 home runs and 44 RBI. Santo played for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that Ron Santo's best season was 1964, when he slugged 30 home runs, hit for a .313 average and knocked in 114 runs.
