Biography

Born on December 15, 1970 in Devils Lake, North Dakota, Rick Helling (Ricky Allen Helling) played for the Texas Rangers, Florida Marlins, Arizona Diamondbacks, Baltimore Orioles and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 12 year career. Helling broke into the bigs on April 10, 1994 with the Texas Rangers, and put up a 5.88 ERA in 52 innings pitched in 1994, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Rick Helling's best season was 1998, when he posted a 4.41 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 164 batters.
