The Cincinnati Reds and shortstop Felipe Lopez agreed to a $2.7 million contract Thursday, avoiding arbitration. Lopez made $415,000 last season, when he hit .291 and made his first All-Star team. He had asked for $3 million in arbitration, with the Reds offering $2.15 million.
