In Torino today Finland eliminated the USA from the men's hockey tournament, a few days after the American women settled for bronze.
Just four years after capturing the silver, the USA only won a single game in the tournament, while the Fins remain undefeated. The loss today marks another disappointment for the USA in these Olympics.
Elsewhere in Torino there was better news for Team USA. Speedskaters Shani Davis and Chad Hedrick took the silver and bronze in the men's 1500M individual, icedancers Benjamin Agosto and Tanith Belbin won a silver, and bobsledders Shauna Rohbock and Valerie Fleming also came away with a silver.
The medal count for Team USA stands at 7 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze, for a total of 18. Team USA is tied for third with Norway in total medals, and behind Germany and Austria for gold medals.
