Biography

Born on September 13, 1972 in Puerto Plata, Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), Nelson Cruz (Nelson Cruz) played for the Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros and Colorado Rockies over the course of his 6 year career. Cruz broke into the bigs on August 1, 1997 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 5.67 ERA in 66.2 innings pitched in 1999, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Nelson Cruz's best season was 2001, when he posted a 4.15 ERA and struck out 75 batters.
