Born on August 15, 1967 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Mike James (Michael Elmo James) played for the California Angels, Anaheim Angels, St. Louis Cardinals and Colorado Rockies over the course of his 7 year career. James broke into the bigs on April 29, 1995 with the California Angels, and put up a 3.88 ERA in 55.2 innings pitched in 1995, his rookie year.
