Born on August 9, 1974 in Middletown, New York, Matt Morris (Matthew Christian Morris) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 9 year career. Morris broke into the bigs on April 4, 1997 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.19 ERA in 217 innings pitched in 1997, his rookie year.
