Born on August 5, 1977 in South Holland, Illinois, Mark Mulder (Mark Alan Mulder) played for the Oakland Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 7 year career. Mulder broke into the bigs on April 18, 2000 with the Oakland Athletics, and put up a 5.44 ERA in 154 innings pitched in 2000, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mark Mulder's best season was 2001, when he posted a 3.45 ERA, won 21 games and struck out 153 batters.
