Born on January 20, 1973 in San Pedro de Macoris, Macoris (Dominican Republic), Julio Santana (Julio Franklin Santana) played for the Texas Rangers, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Montreal Expos, Detroit Tigers, Milwaukee Brewers and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 7 year career. Santana broke into the bigs on April 6, 1997 with the Texas Rangers, and put up a 6.75 ERA in 104 innings pitched in 1997, his rookie year.
