Cincinnati Reds Prospect

Scouting Report

2006 Southern League (Double A) MVP and 2007 International League (Triple A) Rookie of the Year. Hit .321 for Reds in 84 AB's with 4 homers in September. Went from being pitchable to a tough out in '07 because he is now comfortable against lefthanded pitchers. Reds surprisingly picked up Scott Hatteberg's option for 2008 but that likely was an insurance move, Votto should start the season as the Reds regular 1B.
