Biography[]

Born on November 22, 1974 in Houston, Texas, Joe Nathan (Joseph Michael Nathan) played for the San Francisco Giants and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 7 year career. Nathan broke into the bigs on April 21, 1999 with the San Francisco Giants, and put up a 4.18 ERA in 90.1 innings pitched in 1999, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Joe Nathan's most productive season. Some believe that it was 2005, when he posted a 2.70 ERA, notched 43 saves and struck out 94 batters. However, others believe that it was 2006, when he posted a 1.58 ERA, notched 36 saves and struck out 95 batters.
