Biography[]

Born on January 5, 1963 in Springfield, Illinois, Jeff Fassero (Jeffrey Joseph Fassero) played for the Montreal Expos, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Colorado Rockies, Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 16 year career. Fassero broke into the bigs on May 4, 1991 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 2.44 ERA in 55.1 innings pitched in 1991, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Jeff Fassero's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1996, when he posted a 3.30 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 222 batters. However, others believe that it was 1993, when he posted a 2.29 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 140 batters.
