The New York Giants have signed Jai Lewis, the dominant but undersized big man who helped George Mason reach the final four in this year's NCAA Tournament. He is slated to transition in the NFL to the defensive line or to tight end.

Lewis played defensive tackle, tight end, and fullback in high school.

The other player from the NCAA tournament to try his luck in the NFL, Ed Nelson from UConn, was signed yesterday by the St. Louis Rams. He is expected to be a tight end.
