Born on January 28, 1983 in Villa Mella, Distrito Nacional (Dominican Republic), Elizardo Ramirez (Elizardo (de Palma) Ramirez) played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 3 year career. Ramirez broke into the bigs on May 25, 2004 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 5.37 ERA in 104 innings pitched in 2006, his rookie year.
