Biography

Born on July 23, 1936 in Van Nuys, California, Don Drysdale (Donald Scott Drysdale) played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 14 year career. Drysdale broke into the bigs on April 17, 1956 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and put up a 2.64 ERA in 99 innings pitched in 1956, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Don Drysdale's best season was 1962, when he posted a 2.83 ERA, won 25 games and struck out 232 batters.
