What do you do when you have a future All-Pro in the making and a former All-Pro who enjoys doping more than anything else? You hang on to a talented young guy that not many people know about. The Miami Dolphins have re-signed running back Sammy Morris, who had been an unrestricted free agent, to a one-year contract.
Morris played in 16 games, including two starts, for the Dolphins in 2005, his second season with the team after being signed as an unrestricted free agent from Buffalo in 2004. In his two seasons with Miami, Morris has amassed 581 yards rushing and seven touchdowns on 148 carries and caught 30 passes for 178 yards. In addition, he led the Dolphins’ special teams unit with 16 tackles last season.
