Biography

Chick Hafey (Charles James Hafey) was born on February 12, 1903 in Berkeley, California. He made his Major League debut on August 28, 1924 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1925, his rookie year, he hit .302 with 5 home runs and 57 RBI. Hafey played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Chick Hafey's best season was 1929, when he slugged 29 home runs, hit for a .338 average and knocked in 125 runs.
