Red Sox Daisuke Matsuzaka Back On The DL: Daisuke Matsuzaka is struggling pitcher for the Red Sox this season, now he is on the 15-day disabled list Sunday and could be sidelined much longer.

This is more or less just taking advantage of the DL because a pitcher is inneffective. I love how they keep trying to make excuses for him when this is really the problem. The Red Sox seem to be doing the right thing with him, taking these precautions.

"This is not going to be a two-week DL," manager Terry Francona said. "We have to figure this out. We have a lot of work ahead of us to get him back to being Daisuke."

They should keep Dice on ice till August. Nobody on this staff should have shoulder fatigue. Let him rest for 2 months. I can name you 29 teams in the MLB that would be more than happy to have him in their starting rotation.

"He's got some shoulder weakness," Francona said before Sunday's game against the Braves. "I don't know that you can give him a week off and say, 'Come back and pitch and your shoulder's going to be miraculously strong.'"
