The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its 2006 inductees today. Troy Aikman, Reggie White, Warren Moon, Harry Carson, John Madden, and Rayfield White were all named members of the class. Six inductees is the maximum allowed each year by rule, and this year's inductions mark the first time the Hall has welcomed the maximum slate since 2001.

Notable omissions include Art Monk, who reportedly failed to advance beyond the first round of voting, Thurman Thomas, and former Aikman teammate Michael Irvin.
