Hello everyone, Thank you for your patience with me this past year. I'll spare you the long details and give you a brief run-down of what the past year has been like for me, and why I haven't been on ACGM in such a long time..

Well, the summer of 2006 was the first time I ever wrote anything that other people read, and, by golly, LIKED! ACGM last summer was my very first taste of journalism, and it led me to pursue it in the upcoming school year. I was promoted quickly to the highest journalism class, without any experience (due to a previous teacher's praise). From there, I perfected my grammar, style, word usage, etc. At the conclusion of the school year, I won honorable mention for one of my articles on a highschool basketball prospect, Billy White. Because of my progress in just one year, I was promoted to sports editor for my school paper, which I will begin during the next school year.

However, between summer '06 and now, I had experienced a few setbacks. A girlfriend had completely set me off track, lowered my confidence, and set my sights and goals in the wrong places. Following the breakup, my biological father continued his efforts towards breaking me down. I was diagnosed with major depression and started running as a way to ease my stress. Now I am able to run 4 miles a day, and I am beating the depression without the help of any medication. I've come to realize that writing is my true passion and favorite thing in the world. Nothing, NOTHING will ever take me away from the chair ever again. I assure you that I will try my best in everything I do and write with the same passion and eagerness for everyone's approval that you guys saw last year!
