Stock Up/Stock Down for the Week

Stock Up

Scott Kazmir - (7-2) What were the Mets thinking?

Lebron James - An absolutely amazing post-season. The mere fact that he took his team to the brink of eliminating the Pistons is unfathomable. Jason Terry {Has proven to be a clutch player who wants the ball when the game's on the line. Mavs definitely felt his loss on Friday Night.

Albert Pujols - continues to roll with 22Hrs

Barry Bonds - Tied Babe Ruth and until MLB conducts a full investigation on every single soul in the league with this steroid issue which could have been done during the Mcgwire/Sosa HR chase had Bud Selig been awake, I will congratulate him. This issue goes far deeper than Bonds. There are minor league players taking steroids, so what does say?

Carlos Delgado - A veteran that's having a splendid season at the cleanup spot. With the shadow of Mo Vaughn and Jeremy Burnitz far behind. Mets fans need to appreciate Delgado's success

Milwaukee Brewers - 3 straight wins in the Bottom of the 9th against the Phillies. Mets fans should send thank-you notes.

Rafael Nadal - Seems to be the only male tennis player that can challenge Federer, 54 straight wins on clay.

Detroit Pistons - showed why they are a great team only allowing 61 points in a Game 7.

Doug Flutie - Great run, Made that famous Hail Mary play on November 23, 1984. the exact same day I was born. Therefore, he should definitely be in the Hall of Fame(lol) Good luck in retirement.

Stock down

Clifford Robinson - oldest player in the NBA setting a real bad example violating the substance-abuse policy

Michael Barrett - Completely overreacted on Saturday and just upgraded his status to Bonehead}

Referees in the NBA - As exciting as the playoffs have been, the lack of consistency in the calls during these games have been downright appalling. Randy Johnson{He's become ordinary real fast. He just does not have it anymore. NY media's getting the knife and fork ready to eat Randy alive.

Kansas City Royals - (10-31) They'll be on this list all year. One thing you can say about the Royals they're quite reliable. Every time the Yanks are in a bit of a slump, the Royals come to town and bail them out.

The NY Knicks front office - Let Isiah coach this mess. Did they really think that they were going to get Larry Brown to agree to a buyout? Lenny Wilkens said in an interview that he regrets taking the Knicks job and never agreed with Isiah's trades such as the Van Horn trade for Tim Thomas. No coach in their right mind would want to go to the Knicks right now. Larry Brown should go and coach Sacramento which is clearly a team on the rise.

The NHL playoffs - Is anybody watching, Does anybody care? Here's how much the NHL cared, they'll put an indoor league on the Outdoor Life Network.

Bill Wagner - ruined Mets chance at historic sweep by imploding on Saturday evening. Followed that up with a very uneven performance on Sunday. Mets fans had scary visions of Armando benitez dancing in their heads!

I cared more about the NHL Playoffs when the Red Wings were still in it, but I still care. I think the 20,000 fans of each of the 4 teams left in still care. I certainly care more about those than I do about MLB in May (still over 100 MORE games to go...).

Cliff Robinson is a big idiot. Not only is he way too old to be smoking up, but he's begging for a trade to the Knicks with that type of character-reflective behavior.

What's strange about that thanks is the Brewers took 2 of 3 from the Mets immediately before the Phils series...

I don't know that the Royals' stock is actually down from before the series with the Cardinals or even a week ago or whenever. It's just depressing how low they are this season. So they're really running-in-place in a really, really bad place.

Couldn't agree more. Pierzynski tried to make himself into the good guy after the game, but anyone with a pulse knows Pierzynski's game and knows he said something to Barrett. But you know what Mikey - people talk smack all the time, especially after they run someone's butt over. Deal with it. As for the NHL playoffs, how are they only in the conference finals? They've been in the playoffs for like 6 months now.

After seeing that brawl, did Harry Doyle's phrase from Major League II, "Good news fans, the Indians are showing signs of life!" immediately pop into your head like it did to me?

1) Barrett threw one of the better punches in a sport fight in the last 10 years so I think he should have been on the up and the down list. 2) Can the Royals stock really be down? Didn't it bottom out a couple weeks ago? 3)I'm not 100% sure, but I think the NHL playoff ratings are up from the pre-lockout days and many teams, like the Sabres, are making some noise for the first time in a long time. 4)Corey might have just locked up best comment of the day already (and possibly even the week).

They changed "Outdoor Life Network" to OLN, so people wouldn't be confused when hockey was on. Kind of like "Kentucky Fried Chicken" changed to KFC so they wouldn't be sued when people realized it wasn't real chicken they were eating.
