Can you remove the ` from El Hombre` in the Sportsune Cookie Article? Some of us cannot see the article because of this mark. Thanks...
Dude, you like Psych too? I think we may have been separated at birth (personality-wise, if that's possible)...
Yeah, because pitchers can't control hit rates on balls in play, while hitters can (to some degree). Oddly enough, though, the 3TO started as a tribute to hitters like Dunn, who were consistently underrated before the sabermetric revolution because their batting averages suck and they K all the time. But with DIPS theory emerging, it turns out the 3TO are even more relevant to pitchers because they're the only things that are defense-independent.
Nice work, as always. Although I'm disappointed that you didn't point out the appropriateness of me, Armchair's most sabermetrically inclined user, turning to Jack Cust in my hour of need (J. Willingham's injury). It was inevitable, like death and taxes, that I would eventually sign that guy. Now, if only Rob Deer were available...
Wow, that just made me realize I haven't even checked my team in a long time. Thanks, and nice work on the article.
You can use New York Mets as a starting point for each of the years -- that's what I'm going off of. Also, a google search on "New York Mets site:geocities.com" is incredibly helpful. Lots of people did this 10 years ago and just stopped!
I send a link and a brief description. I usually send articles to 3-6 places, but I do it via 3-6 different emails so it's more personal.

Oh, just the editing. We need a lot more editors here, that's all. I found you, in particular, doing the most editing today, so... good job.
Looking it the citation you gave me, I see he went to U. Va. starting in 1969, and since I left Charlottesville in the spring of 1969, that would explain my being unaware of his going there! Since he was originally drafted in '68, it would seem he waited a year before registering at U. Va. trying to make up his mind.
