I agree with your statement, however my gut feeling the move was made because Tom Renney could be wanting Jason Strudwick to help the newest Ranger on defense make the right plays and would be the best candidate to fill Backman in on what the Devils' tendencies are during the playoffs... by the way, I'm awaiting Kelsdad's submission to me of his overview/prediction of the series before I post the article this afternoon.

Malik paired with Paul Mara while Christian Backman may be with Jason Strudwick? That's a report I heard. Really, what is Renney thinking doing that? I'd leave Mara-Backman together on the third line.

Mike, sorry I could not get back to you sooner as I've had a busy afternoon. I just read your blog post on the series. See what I mean? You write a fine preview. Most excellent! ...here's what I'm deciding on. What I'll now do is simply write my beat article on the series preview and then present some of your points in quoting your preview. I will provide a link to your blog post you wrote as each of us having a lengthy preview might go too long for ArmchairGM members to read at once. I'll then list each fan's prediction of the series outcome. After that, I'll sum everything up with what the effects of this series might have on the next round for the winner... I'll let you know when I'm ready to post my article... also, I'll add you to my blog roll. Since you don't talk about just hockey, I may put it under the "general favorite hockey links" category. so i just decided to write a rangers-devils preview. It's all done. How do you want me to get it to you?

OK so do you want me to write a few paragraphs on the Devils-Rangers series? I can do a Keys to the Series and make up about 4 or 5 points of interest to watch in the series? how exactly do you want me to go about writing this?

Hey Paul, Yeah it was a tough loss yesterday. After the Jagr goal in the 3rd, I thought they would score again and win. I would write something about the upcoming series against the Devils (Brodeur scares the hell out of me in the playoffs), but honestly, since I'm only a casual hockey fan, I don't think i would do the justice of writing a good enough article. ps - I think Callahan is the key to series (besides the obvious like jagr and lundqvist) because when he i attacking the zone and finishing checks it seems like his line picks it up and gets good scoring chance. I've also been impressed with Nigel Dawes down the stretch

The Knicks are a friggin' embarassment, period. I just hate the ownership, the basketball operations and a good number of the players in recent years. Until they get rid of the cancers of that organization, I won't be seriously into the Knicks as I had been for many years.

Now the Rangers, at least they have quality people running the show despite my resentment for Jim Dolan owning the team. It was a nice win yesterday and I expect King Henrik back in net and ready to dispose the hated fishsticks these next two games!
