I don't think you necessarily need to know about sport bikes. In fact what I am doing is making it less sporty to my friends who think I am crazy. I am removing the fairings and wind shield. this will leave me with an ugly headlight that will need replaced. But, more importantly it leaves all of my instrumentation exposed and all of my wiring exposed. All I really want to know and can't get an answer for is how tough is it going to be to hide my wiring. Do you think this is too ambitious for a self taught mechanic who is learning on this bike as he goes. I'm going to check the forum you linked for me to see if anyone out there has done this also. Well, I know they have cause I saw one this weekend and couldn't stop staring.
