Alabama coach Nick Saban said linebacker Rolando McClain was involved in a motorcycle accident but sustained only minor injuries.

The sophomore was released from a hospital in his hometown of Decatur after the accident Thursday. Saban said Friday that McClain sustained only some cuts and abrasions and will be monitored by Alabama's medical staff.

Alabama coach Nick Saban likes to talk about focusing on the "process" of building a championship team. If Saban's comments on the offseason program and the beginning of spring practice are any indication, the process is headed in the right direction. That wasn't evident last season when the Crimson Tide closed out the regular season with four straight losses, including an inexplicable home loss to Louisiana-Monroe.

The University of Alabama had zero players selected in the NFL draft for the first time since 1970.

The Tide has big concerns to address at linebacker and receiver but returns four starting offensive linemen and some capable running backs. Quarterback John Parker Wilson will be a senior and a three-year starter but still has a lot to prove, especially with his third offensive coordinator in three years.
