I know you've been busy but "some things do change"... We cleared the air of the nastifunk and it's SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS!!!
AGM is better WITH you than without you!
Ha, totally agree
I thought he had a punches chance, but about a minute it, I knew it was over...at the end of the round, I look at my buddy and said "I'll be surprised if this goes three rounds" - and it was over just like that

Remember when we were talking about this in regards to Pacman. Well there you go: 3 games
Wait, I thought we were the hottest team in the ACC! Either way, get ready to have the ball run down your throat. And I don't think your 70th-ranked rushing D can handle it...
Thought you might be interested (and perhaps envious?) to know that my Wallabies v All Blacks tickets came in the mail.
The streak means nothing to me. It means he was lucky enough to not get hurt. But you have to wonder if he could have been more effective with a game off sprinkled in here and there
And I hate it when people brag about him going to work every day for so many years. Even MY lazy ass could go to work everyday if I only worked 162 out of the 365 1/4 days per year!!!
Baseball wasn't going to die, Cal or no Cal, but the hype helped restore some pride.
I still think Cal was a premier shortstop and definitely worthy of the Hall of Fame regardless. He put up numbers that were UNHEARD OF from shortstops until he came along and redefined the position.
If there's no Cal, there's No A-Rod, No Nomar, No Jeter, No Tejada... Before Cal, it was guys that hit like Ozzie Smith and Tony Fernandez...
"The streak" was overrrated for sure, but 2 MVPS, a ring and many, many solid years and several outstanding years at a demanding position (including once season where he only made THREE errors) says otherwise.
It's a fun argument, but there's no doubt. Dude was a top 5 player for most of the 80's and early 90's - when offensive numbers meant something different.
Did you know that when Cal first played SS, he was the tallest SS in MLB history?

Bret Barberie's sloppy seconds? No thanks!
I don't think Bynum is coming back, let alone at 100%.
Besides, IF he does come back, they will have to change their rotation which at this point would mess things up.
I don't fear the Lakers one bit.
The West is still the Spurs to lose.
I'm totally there with you on the perimeter.
It's grant hill's job to do a little more than just throw a hand up and let guys get easy shots. I think they did a good job yesterday of neutralizing Tony Parker (who usually KILLS us) and let's face it, Manu didn't have a great game...
If you look at the last two months - before and after Shaq, teams that beat the Spurs are getting CAREER nights from so-so perimeter guys.
Nash had looked old and slower for most of 2008 and just since the game in Portland has started to show some intesity on defense and is getting more careful with the ball.
The Suns suck when Nash is on the bench and they get scorched on his defense. He's picked it up recently and maybe he was just dealing with nagging injuries? It's not like Nash to say anything about his health issues. Maybe they are trying to save something for the playoffs?
I'd rather see the Suns playing this way, giving up perimeter points than how they played against the Pistons a couple sundays ago!
every possession is a new possession. If it starts on the break, so be it.
There were two 3 seconds violations yesterday on O'Neal - that isn't his fault, that's guys not making decisions with the ball.
O'Neal has NEVER played a high pick and roll in his career, so some things are new to him. He is just learning where the shooters will be and when.
DON'T underestimate Mike D'Antoni or his system. (See: Mike Kryshuhuioehugfeeswski as an example of a prominent D'Antoni disciple)
I don't think they are bogged down any more with O'Neal than when they cleared out and let Amare do the same thing.
Again, Shaq isn't going to slow down the break, he'll start it.
The Suns are no doubt a streaky team. They beat San Antonio without the 3 pointer for the first time since the David Robinson era. THAT is a huge message for the Suns to send.
