Pre Game Thoughts (Stars/Oilers)

On Thursday, the Stars completely turned around their lackluster performance against the Ducks with a 3-0 shutout of the San Jose Sharks.

Marty Turco shutdown the Sharks offense and the Stars offense scored goals on both the power play and even strength, giving the team one of their most complete games and most character building wins of the year.

After being embarrassed by Anaheim the night before, the Stars started out strong, scoring six minutes into the first two periods.

So, in this quick road trip against the Pacific Division Contenders, the Stars tanked against the Ducks and shined versus the Sharks, earning half of the available points (2 of 4).

Now, for Tonight's game vs. Edmonton, this question exists:

Which Stars team will show up? The one that will show passion, energy and effort that appeared during Thursday's game with the Sharks or the listless, flat and uninspired team that appeared on Wednesday's game with the Ducks.

Notes:

Home Team Scoring Struggles:

In their last three home games, the Dallas Stars have scored 4 goals total, an average of 1.33 goals per contest......

For the team to win tonight versus Edmonton, the power play might need to spark the offense.....
