I learned on ESPN's NFL Primetime that O'Sullivan is responsible for 17 of the Niners 20 turnovers this season. That's horrible.

If Bud wants the Rays to win, it's not because they're the Cinderella. It's because he wants to prove that revenue sharing can work, that the small-market teams can compete with the big boys. With the recent success of the Twins, As, and now the Rays, I think he's proven that it has.

As for Buck and McCarver, I'm as critical as anyone. But the reason they still work the World Series is the same reason that the games start at 8:30 PM EST.

Buck and McCarver aren't here for us, the educated (well, except for me) sports fan. They're here for your sister who loves tennis, your mother who loves to macrame jean shorts, your father the rabid football fan, who's never watched baseball before. Fox is trying to appeal to the widest audience possible, even at the expense of alienating some of the more die-hard fans.

That's exactly what will happen. Of course, the weather is supposed to be even worse tomorrow. I wonder if they'll push back Games 6 and 7 in that case. I mean, obviously they have to finish Game 5, and they have to do it in Philly.

I absolutely agree with you. I've never seen an infield get so bad without a stoppage of play before. MLB was definitely trying to save face with a tie.

Honestly, the Phillies (again) had plenty of baserunners and didn't freaking bring them home. If they'd done that...no harm, no foul and MLB has a suck-ass decision to make

You've got to start Hamels on regular rest if that's an option. I know he hates going on 3 days rest, but if it goes to Game 7 on Friday night, he's got to start that game.

I think Game 5 is going to be finished tomorrow one way or another. There's no way they can let this become more of a debacle.

I still think Hamels on 3 days rest is better than anyone else they've got. I mean, I know Myers, Moyer and Blanton have all pitched well, but it's Game 7. You want your ace out there. And if he doesn't ask for the ball on 3 days rest, then I don't really have much respect for him as a competitor.
