Concerns...

Say Boston gets a big lead. Why is no one talking about the fact the Lakers are so good offensively they can comeback just like the Celtics did?

Garnett has to come up big. He has to. Pau Gasol can not beat him again. It's not possible in the universe we occupy (KG can be on another universe sometimes, though).

Kobe's due. It's been too long. It's up to Boston to stop him.

I fully expect the Lakers to get off to a fast start and burn off in the 2nd quarter. And the 3rd quarter will decide the season tonight, the Lakers outscore Boston by 6 in game 5 in the 3rd, what about on the road?

Just to add some perspective on to this:

Suppose the Celtics throw this series away, how disgusting would it be if:

A.) The title is hoisted in Boston, but the Lakers win?

B.) The Lakers somehow rally from a 3-1 series lead and win it in Boston?

C.) Phil Jackson wins title 10, surpasses Red Auerbach AND wins the title in Boston?

D.) Kobe Bryant's guarantee actually comes true for once?

If Boston wins tonight, Celtics fans should have EVERY right to storm the court just like old times.....

Meanwhile in more interesting terms, Boston leads Philly 3-0 in the cancered one has pitched 5 scoreless

Doc Rivers has really impressed me in this series and earned my respect. I never hated him but he's really done a good job when I thought he was going to smoked from begining to end.

Pau Gasol already off to a soft start but wins a blocking foul.

Kobe Bryant hits the opening jumper and the Lakers score first yet again.

Lamar Odom should never ever ever ever ever ever dribble the ball too long. The Lakers almost gave the Celtics 5 chances to score.

Well it's painful, I picked the Celtics, I said in 6, yet I found myself rooting for the Lakers for the sake of my thoughts of Boston sports fans on this site.

However, I'll be the first to congratulate the Celtics fans, the Celtics, and the city of Boston for this historic night. I don't think we'll be seeing the Lakers back here in a long time, and quite honestly, I think we've got our dynasty.

The Boston Celtics will be a real dynasty, not the Patriots, they aren't a dynasty, these Celtics will be a dynasty for many years to come.

Doc Rivers will become the first black head coach to win a title since KC Jones, which was 22 years ago for the Celtics.

KG, Pierce, and of course Sonics fav Ray Allen (I want to see him win as well guys) all get their first rings in emphatic fashion.

Boston didn't even deserve to win a title the way they played against Atlanta and Cleveland, but the Detroit series persuaded me to pick them.

This is a wonderful season, congrats again to Boston, and please let the fans rush the court like old times.

!!! I can't call into work tomorrow and I felt a strong pull to have this entire message in caps but...

Two shotgunned beers in the household, along with a lot of teary eyes! One for Paul Pierce who I've followed since I was a rookie and will by a jersey now just to hang on my wall and explain to my daughter that he was my generations Larry Legend. The other was for Kevin Garnett who has officially become my favorite athlete of all time. I don't care that he's only won one title, the guy has passion and anyone who doesn't sleep for four days in a SEMIFINAL for my sports team will forever be in my heart!!!!

I don't care if you hate Boston sports or not, if your not moved by KG's emotion during this entire thing, especially after seeing him at the end.. that's what sports is all about. The man has reached legend status in my book, I facking love him! No homo!!!!

Let's not get carried away here. The Celtics won ONE title. Even back-to-back championships wouldn't be considered a dynasty either. Boston will now have a target on their back in which the pressure just to repeat will be intense given the players they have on their roster.

You might want to rephrase that. Should be "one of the great moments in BOSTON sports history". I don't want to sound like a party pooper, but there have been more memorable or impressive championship victories over the last century than tonight.

Congratulations to the Celtics and especially to the fans that I know here. It was certainly a well-deserved and hard earned championship. I'm especially happy for the one player on the team I do enjoy watching and even rooting for and that's Kevin Garnett.
