You guys paying attention, we've got some interesting things going on.

  • The Yanks and White Sox are slugging it out scoring 8 runs each in the 2nd inning.
  • Newly acquired Kyle Lohse is pitching for the Phillies, while the Cubs are trying to take sole lead in the NL central.
  • Newly acquired Kason Gabbard is pitching for the Rangers.
  • A great showdown between the Mets and Brewers is taking place as well.

Oh and newly acquired Will Betemit homered on his first at bat as a Yankee. And even though A-Rod didn't smack 500 yet, he stopped his 0-22 skid by singling in the second inning.

well...i think they wanted to save the PH for later as needed...it was the 2nd inning, and Eaton is a decent hitter (probably very good for a pitcher)...he's batting like .270 this year (in obvious limited time)...and the phils have an extremely short bench with all the injuries...

Its pretty tough to win the gold glove in the national league when scott rolen is winning it for 5 straight years a la rafael palmeiro winning it every year despite being undeserving. No we shouldn't be booing Mike Lowell. It was a difficult play, especially coming back having to look straight into the sun not knowing where the ball is. You are just looking for a pointless argument to continue.

If the "by his name" thing is true, how do you explain last years AL MVP voting? Jeter, the face of baseball vs. some guy 85% of baseball fans never heard of. But I'll stop now cuz your gettin pissed. It's no fun to have debates with people that get pissed when you challenge them.

just an observation there Just...the two runs the Phillies scored in the third on the error, was a throw by THERIOT, Derosa didn't even appear in the game until a PH appearance in the 8th when he flew to right with two on and two out. Not to mention that Theriot had to range far up the middle just to make any kind of play on the ball hit by Coste. Full marks to the Phils for holding on to win the game, though had Ohman not melted down in the 9th, it could have been a lot more interesting seeing Myers's issues in last night's contest.
