Ebay Charity Auction Won by MLB Executive

Tampa Bay Devil Rays President Matthew Silverman was the winning bidder in Manny Stiles' charity eBay auction and will receive the 50 articles posted about his favorite team (surprise! The Devil Rays!) on ArmchairGM.com as well as a soon-to-be-created team focused blog hosted by pseudo-celebrity blogger and resident Armchair yapster Manny Stiles.

The winning bid of $535.00 as well as an additional pledge of $1000.00 is being donated by Mr Silverman to The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation to aid in research and care of pediatric AIDS patients.

Journalists/media members, residents of Western Florida and Devil Ray fans world-wide... be warned!

saying Armchair is a Digg ripoff is like saying Coca Cola stole the idea for the soda can as a delivery method from Pepsi... The delivery method or "container" may be similar, but what's inside is very different.

Yeah people submit articles or stories and then vote (digg) the stories or bury (unvote) them with popular stories making the front page. The fact of the matter is, if Digg had never been started this website would never exist as it does now either. That's like saying Netscape didn't rip off Digg either.
