The National League Boston Beaneaters franchise started in 1876 as the Boston Red Caps. The Red Caps played from 1876-1882 and won 2 Pennants, before changing their team name to the Beaneaters. The Beaneaters played under that name from 1883-1906 and won 6 Pennants. The Boston team became the Doves in 1907-1910, then the Rustlers (1911), then the Braves (1912-1935), then the Bees (1936-1940), back to the Braves (1941-1952 - and won 1 World Championship, & 3 Pennants), before moving out of the city. In 1953, the Boston franchise that had started in 1876 moved to Milwaukee and became the Milwaukee Braves. They stayed in Milwaukee from 1953 until 1965 and won 1 World Championship and 2 pennants. In 1966, the Braves moved from Milwaukee to Atlanta. They have won 1 World Championship and 5 pennants as the Atlanta Braves.
