It's rare that we have breaking news for you here at The Foul Pole, but this is something that will surely be a huge story in the New York tabloids for a long time.
The New York Knicks have fired Larry Brown and have replaced him with Isiah Thomas.
"This has been a difficult time for the entire organization and our fans," Thomas said. "Today begins the 2006-07 season for the Knicks, and I strongly believe we are on the right track to take major steps in our rebuilding process to achieve our goal of being one of the premier teams in the NBA."
To be honest to Larry Brown, he had to know this was coming. Thomas wants to have all the power and likes being on the bench. When Brown said last week that he was a "dead man walking," he was right and it's probably safe to say that he has been slowly packing his stuff since the end of the season.
Is it possible for Thomas to be a worse GM than Michael Jordan?
