Zeke Gets His Wish

Since the end of the NBA regular season the questions have been swirling around the New York Knicks and Larry Brown. Today we finally got some answers. Brown is out, and Isiah Thomas is in as head coach... nice move NY, way to tank next years season.
Larry Brown took the Knicks to a 23-59 record last season as the first year head coach. During his brief tenure with the Knicks Brown had run ins with GM Thomas, and with his starting point guard Starbury. Once the rumors of his termination began to swirl, Brown never backed away stating that he felt he was a dead man walking, and that as he would not leave, but would have to be fired. Smart move for a man who is due 40 mil on his contract.
Now we see the return of Zeke to the bench. While at Indiana he was an average coach who was fired by another NBA legend in Larry Bird. It is fitting that Thomas will have to coach the franchise that he assembled. The Knicks are a shell of a team that is saddled with plenty of high price contracts, for players who are barely worth the league min.
Thomas put this team together against Larry Browns wishes now he gets to lead this bunch of misfits into battle. Zeke will inherit the same team that Brown had last season. One benifit Zeke will have is he does not need to prep for the upcoming June draft as a GM or a Coach because he traded away the number 2 pick to the Chicago Bulls.
Maybe when Thomas gets the opportunity to work with the team he built he will realize what a terrible GM he actually is. From there maybe we can get him off the bench and out of every front office in the league, and the Knicks can at least be returned to respectability.
