Zack Attack

According to the Kansas City Star, Zack Greinke is back. I don't know about you but, I thought this guy was the 2005 version of Rick Ankiel. He debuts into the major, shows poise on the mound, and some pretty nasty stuff. The next year he implodes and mysteriously leaves for "psychological" problems.

I don't know if psychological problems is baseball code for "drug abuse," but its always sad to see potential wasted. Here's hoping to Greinke works out his problems and helps the Royals rebuild the mid-west's worst organization.

I've heard several Royals officials say that it has nothing to do with drugs. A few sports writers close to the situation said the same thing. So I'm willing to believe it. But the guy has to be a real headcase to miss this much time due to mental issues.
