Yuniesky Betancourt (Yuniesky (Perez) Betancourt) was born on January 31, 1982 in Santa Clara, Cuba. He made his Major League debut on July 28, 2005 for the Seattle Mariners. In 2005, his rookie year, he hit .256 with 1 home run and 15 RBI. Betancourt played for the Seattle Mariners for his entire 2 year career.
