You be the football draft analyst (part 1)

How many times have you seen or heard of a so-called fantasy experts giving their "expert" opinion about a draft. You know those critics of "you should have taken (insert name) here" or "your RB's are ok but your QB needs help", etc etc. Well here's your chance to do one of those for 1 of my live drafts (will post a 2nd one later). Be the analyst - give your opinion who has the best team, the worst team, etc and why. Bonus "points" if you can guess mine lol

This is my brother in-law's $150 league. Starting roster: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K & 1 DEF

Upon first look, I like teams 1, 5, and 6 best. Each of those teams has 1 player that, if he excels/lives up to the hype, could make the team dominant. For 1 it's Travis Henry. If he remains the feature back and healthy (and stops fathering children), Team 1 has the best RB duo. For 5, MJD has to perform as well as last year. Team 6 is banking on McNabb returning to his pre-injury form. If all of those happen, I'd go with Team 1 overall. But 5 and 6 are good, too. The rest of the teams are fairly balanced. No real glaring weak team. Perhaps 4 or 7.

Who the f*** is Jason Hanson? I've never heard of the guy. It's a travesty my boy Gostkowski didn't get picked :(

Jason Hanson is the kicker for the Lions. He's a really good kicker in terms of skill, but usually a lousy fantasy pick because he plays for the Lions.

IN team 1's defense (again not me), he only picked up Det's D for 1 week (week 7 when Car is on a bye) - that week, Det plays TB in Det which may not be a bad pick - Jeff Garcia is TB's QB...

Team 9 is probably the most well rounded team out there, along with team 1. Most of these teams shot themselves in the foot with handcuffing picks of dual backs from the same system (ie team 3, booking half of DET's offense) or snagging guys that really screw up what was a team with promise (Romo, Young, Rhodes on team 2). Team six seems weak to me...too many injury risks, platoon situations and inconsistent guys to be competitive.

Speaking of shooking themself in the foot, Team 1 did that a bit - both TE's are on the same bye week - I'm working out a trade for 1 of them... I'd rather have Alge or even Heap than who I have anyways... kinda screwed up on my #1 TE pick...

Team 4 is me... I'm suprised that some of you said that mine is weak... I think I got solid #1's in Gore, Palmer & Boldin... Lewis & Julius are decent (not great but decent) #2 RB...

Vincent Jackson is the #1 WR in SD so I'm expecting 8-10 TD's from him with Colston & Musin as the bye week fillers (depending on the matchup)... both K's are decent enough and both my D's are top 10... what I feel is my screw up is getting Winslow - should have gone with Alge there...

Yes I could have gone with better WR's or RB's, but I was trying to avoid have 2 of the same position on the same bye week - which is what would of happened... doing the draft the way I did it, it avoids me scrambling for a bye week filler... if you notice, I don't 2 of any poisiton on the same bye...

I have a novel idea for bye weeks. Try to get as many of your core guys on the same bye week and take the hit for one week. It has worked well for me in the past. 2 titles a 2nd place and 5th place in 4 years. Not bad.
