About two and a half hours after the Columbus Destroyers, sitting at the number six seed in the National Conference, beat the number three seed TB storm, the Colorado Crush also a number six seed beat the number three seed Kansas City Brigade in another close game.  It was 49-42, with two seconds left, KC had the ball at COL's 13-yd line when KC QB Raymond Philyaw under threw WR Anthony Hines to end the game.

The Crush started off on fire, at the end of the first quarter it was 16-7, but in the second quarter KC got some momentum and outscored colorado in the second quarter 21-7, for a 28-23 half time lead.  The Brigade got the ball first in the second half, but colorado forced them to miss a 19-yd FG, and only seven points total were scored in the third quarter, which were in COL's favor.  Already with a two point lead in the fourth quarter, the crush outscored KC 19-14 in the fourth to win the game.

Recievers from both teams had big games.  Anthony Hines, for the lossing KC Brigade collected 15 receptions for 120 yds, and 3 TD's.  While Colorado's Damian Harrell got 8 catches for 106 yds, and 3 TD's.  Colorado will go onto face #1 ranked San Jose in the divisional round next Saturday, July 7th at 3 P.M. on ESPN.

I appreciate AFL updates. You'd think living 10 minutes from a team I'd pay more attention, but it's a tough league to follow.

I wish I lived near an afl team, if I did then I would go to alot of games. I love watching arena football, but it definitely isn't better then the NFL.

We had a team here in Raleigh, and bad ownership ran off good management and move the team to Charlotte where second AFL got folded. It's intensely frustrating. The AFL is not better than the NFL, it's it's own sport and stands on it's own merits.
