Yes, the SEC is that good in College Football, and we need a playoff system!

The Florida Gators just crushed the Ohio State Buckeyes (as predicted by me!) in the College Football National Championship Game by a score of 41-14. Ohio State opponents averaged only 10 points per game during the regular season. Florida had more than tripled that by half time.
Had USC not gotten beaten by UCLA, Florida would never have had the chance to prove that the Gators are the best team in the land. Why?
Because of the error'd ways of the BCS. Florida received no respect, as has any of the teams out of the SEC. They all suffered losses during the regular season, but the losses were to each other. These losses reduced their strengths of schedule. In truth, it should have been the reverse. The best were beating the best. Auburn beat Florida, Arkansas beat Auburn. Florida beat Arkansas. LSU slaughtered Notre Dame in their bowl game, and Florida is National Champions. Arkansas is a quarterback away from being as dominant as Florida and their Freshman (Mitch Mustain) and Sophmore (Casey Dick) are only improving.
So, if USC had beaten UCLA, Florida would have been left out. If the BCS had their way Ohio State may have played Michigan again. What about Boise State? Do they deserve a shot? Should we have the "plus one" system? Top 8 playoff. Top 4? What about the bowls? Keep 'em, lose 'em, rearrange 'em? Would the playoffs be fair to the smaller schools, create hope for the smaller schools, or create a larger vacuum destined to keep them out of any big game?
Whatever the answers may be, the BCS has to change its ways. The best team almost didn't get to compete in this years National Championship.
And the SEC may produce another National Champion next year, BCS permitting.
