Yankees Fans: The end is near

I know, we don't get enough Yankees articles here, but this one is different...
The media is in the news again. Media members were reprimanded by the Yankee organization for not staying behind designated areas to keep press away from 'the Boss'. The press is being kept away from George Steinbrenner more than ever. He's getting old and somewhat easily confused. His handlers are protecting him more than ever.
Keith Olbermann told a story today on the "Dan Patrick Show" on ESPN Radio how "The Boss" (Steinbrenner, not Springsteen) rambled on and on about Olbermann to former President Clinton upon their meeting together, but for the life of him could not remember Keith's name!
Seriously, I've always liked George... baseball fans need guys like him to hate. I'm not picking him in my death pool or anything (I have O.J. Simpson). But the day is coming soon, and I'm not sure Yankees fans even acknowledge this...
I want to know, as a baseball fan and somewhat of a Yankee-yanker, how are the people 'feeling' this situation?
Are Yankee fans nervous about the future? Or is everyone just ignoring the inevitable? George IS the Yankees (even if he is from Cleveland and lives in Tampa)
Are Yankees haters going to hate the Yanks the same without King George?
Do you trust the son-in-law who supposedly will take over?
What will become of the "Evil Empire" if Darth vader goes by the wayside?
Are dark days ahead for the Yankees if Steinbrenner (the face of evil) isn't there?
