I'm a little tired of Yankee fan getting upset because Red Sox fans is celebrating a little too much. For years we all have had to endure the boasting of some of the most annoying, obnoxious fan base in professional sports. There is no arguing with Yankee fan, if they're winning (with Steinbrenner's checkbook) it's see how great we are, and if not, the excuse is "come talk to us when you're team has 26 titles". I've heard some say that the Red Sox have "bought" their last two championships. Let's not forget that it is George Steinbrenner who escalated MLB salaries to where they are today and to compete with the Yankees in their division you must also spend money. In 2007 the Red Sox salary was still 25% below the Yankees. I guess we'll all concede the 20th century to the Yankees, there is no arguing with the 26 titles. It's the 21st century now Yankee fan. Time to let Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle and Jackson retire. That's Papi, Manny and Schilling out there now. I've got it, come talk to us when your team has the most titles in the 21st century. Go Red Sox!
