Y.A. Tittle (Yelberton Abraham Tittle) was born on October 24, 1926 in Marshall, Texas. After going to high school at Marshall (TX), Tittle attended Louisiana State University. Tittle made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the Baltimore Colts. He played in the AAFC for 2 years, playing for the Baltimore Colts the entire time. Tittle also played in the NFL for 15 years, playing for the San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants and Baltimore Colts over the course of his 15 year NFL career.
Most people believe that 1963 was Y.A. Tittle's best year, as he threw for 3145 yards, tossed 36 TDs and put up a 104.8 passer rating.
