Born on October 13, 1912 in New York, New York, Xavier Rescigno (Xavier Frederick Rescigno) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 3 year career. Rescigno broke into the bigs on April 22, 1943 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 2.98 ERA in 132.2 innings pitched in 1943, his rookie year.
