World Series Game 3 Random Thoughts

A few things to think about going into tonight's Game 3 of the World Series between the Boston Red Sox and the Colorado Rockies...
- - Isn't it about time the leagues get on the same page when it comes to the rules? Why penalize the Red Sox for a style of play that they've used all season long, including two rounds of the playoffs. It's a distinct, competitive advantage for the Rockies that the Sox have to sit Kevin Youkilis, arguably one of the hottest hitters right now. Tonight, at least to start, he's relagated to bench duty as David Ortiz plays 1st and Mike Lowell's at 3B with no DH at Coors Field.
- - 8:40pm first pitch? What 11:05pm wasn't available?
- - I do think the Rockies get the lift tonight from being back in familiar surroundings. If there's one game I give them the edge in, it's this one. Manager Clint Hurdle is promising line-up changes as his offense has struggled to the tune of just one run in each of the team's first two losses. Dice-K Matsuzaka is in another "show-me" start, which means better than his 5.65 ERA in the postseason. Josh Fogg fave up just 2 runs in his win over the Sox earlier this season.
- - When is our first Alyssa Milano sighting at the Series? Can't wait.
- - If you're Josh Beckett, which "ex" do you party with after winning the Series and possibly, a second MVP? Danielle Peck, Leann Tweeden or Alyssa Milano. Can anyone say foursome?
- - Thank you Jacoby Ellsbury for the free taco.
- - Curt Schilling is on a mission: it's called Cooperstown.
